Where is the property you want a quote for?

Just the postcode to start. About a minute in total.

A couple of quick details

This helps installers quote accurately, not guess.

Where should installers send your quotes?

Last step. Installers will call or message you.

Thanks — we've got your details. We may call or message you first to confirm a few things, then a local Devon installer will be in touch within 1 working day. In the meantime, try the savings estimate below.
How it works

One short form. Up to two real quotes. No sales spiral.

01

Tell us about your roof

Postcode, property type and rough electricity spend — that's enough for installers to give a genuine estimate, not a guess.

02

We match you locally

Your details go to a small number of MCS-certified installers who actually work in your part of Devon, not a national call centre.

03

Compare and decide

Installers contact you directly with a quote. Compare, ask questions, and go with whoever's right — or nobody at all.

What to expect

What a typical home installation looks like

Most homes need 8 to 12 panels on one or two roof faces, plus an inverter and a few days of work. Your installer will check your roof and explain what suits your home.

Questions

Quick answers before you start

Is it really free?

Yes. It costs you nothing to ask for quotes. Installers pay us when we match them with a homeowner, so you never pay us anything and you're never obliged to go ahead.

Will I get a flood of sales calls?

No. Your details go to a maximum of two local installers, not a call centre or a list of twenty companies. We may also contact you ourselves first to confirm a few details.

What does MCS-certified mean, and why does it matter?

MCS is the UK standard for installing home solar. Using an MCS-certified installer is what lets you claim payments for the electricity you export through the Smart Export Guarantee, so it's worth checking whoever you choose holds it.

How much does solar cost?

For a typical UK home, a 3 to 4kW system is commonly quoted at roughly £5,000 to £8,000 installed, and a larger 5kW system at around £8,000 to £10,000. Your roof, equipment and whether you add a battery all change the price, so use your installers' quotes for the real figure.

What's the 0% VAT deal?

Solar panel installations on homes in Great Britain are currently zero-rated for VAT until 31 March 2027. After that the rate is due to rise to 5%. Your installer's quote will show how VAT applies to you.

Which parts of Devon do you cover?

We're currently matching homes in Exeter and mid and south Devon (EX and TQ postcodes). We'll add more areas as we sign up more local installers.

Drag the sliders for a rough planning figure. It is not a quote. Your installer will size a system properly against your actual roof.
